Today we went to the high school for our music immersion. We got to listen to lots of different instruments and lots of different songs too. It was good experience to listen to those special instruments. There were: saxophone, piano, cello, flute, and there was a band as well. The one that I most liked was the flute, because the sound of the flute make me felt that I was flying in the sky. The most amazing part of the trip to the high school was listening to Louise’s song that won. It was really amazing how she list about 400 songs as well, I think this was great experience to know how all those instruments work and get to meet a really great songwriter.
In this trip I learnt lots of new stuff about songwriting and lots amazing stuff about the instruments as well like: that the flute belongs to the wood family even though that it is made out of brass. The flute is in the wood family because that before the flute was made out of wood so they are allow to be in the wood family. Another thing that I learnt was that the saxophone belong to the wood family as well because of the little piece of bamboo that is at the top of the saxophone. The most interesting thing that I learnt was that you could take the standard piano apart, I got to see how it works and how the peddles work.
Future study
A possible future study could be to discover if what other instrument is in the wood family as well.
Hi Davina
ReplyDeleteNice learning story!
But it will be even better if you put some details or explanations on the music that the band played and some other musics we listened to. It can be Louise's song too.
